Dawn of Daycare: A Parenting Guide for the Zombie Apocalypse

There was plenty of warning when the dead were rising. We had all seen the Zombie movies and read the books; the signs were not hard to miss. Many chose to ignore or not to believe, it was movie stuff after all. How could it be real? Deep down how many of us really wanted it to happen, just to put an end to all of the bullshit and get on to the next what ever it is. Now, all you need to care about is how to make it through another day alive. Society has collapsed, the corporate strip malls are looted shells, and the gated communities are nothing but nests of imprisoned Zombies waiting for the living to enter. The dust has settled, what you need to know is how to help the sick and wounded, how to grow and prepare everything you eat. Your food stores will not last another season and when you are on your last bar of soap, you cannot just run to the corner store to buy another, so you must learn how to make your own. Everything that used to be so easy is now a completely new game. Just adapting to this is hard enough – but you have to survive an even bigger challenge – your kids. What will you do when they ask you, “Daddy, when can we go to the park?” or cry, for the universal kids food, goldfish. After sitting in front of the darkened television set they will quickly realize that Thomas, Barney, and Dora are gone forever. What will you do then? You will have to keep them from driving you mad as they learn how to do without everything that you inadvertently taught them to take for granted. You will need the techniques explained in this text to survive the long haul. With no electricity or support groups, it will be just you and your imagination.
