Keeping Zombies away

Everything I have read and seen indicates that zombies are, or will become creatures of habit. They feed and hunt. The basic survival instincts seem to be intact. Zombies seem to be attracted to smell. The living would obviously carry a very different smell than rotting flesh. Normal body functions will also smell very different to a zombie.

This brings me to my thoughts. Any smell, other than rotting flesh, would indicate food. If someone has to barricade themselves in a home and wait things out it would be a good idea to defecate in bags and tie them up to minimize the smell. I would recommend a relief system designed to carry urine away from where you are surviving.

If you are not surrounded then I would suggest that you do your business as far away from your fortress as possible, or bag it and bury it later.
