Proper Hand Guns

During a Zombie Apocalypse, weaponry is a must
But what kind of weapons are more proper than others?

Handguns ammunitions:
The higher the velocity the less damage to tissue and bone
9mm - not quite efficent
During the war over the Phillipeans soldiers used the 9mm sidearm against the natives, it had little affect to the body due to its high velocity it can go straight through with causing minimal damage to the target but a single shot to the nasal cavity will go straight through the brainstem hello sack of potatoes, semi auto
.22 cal
Although its small size makes it light weight and easy to conceal
but the size of the round makes it unreliable at mid range, and when trying to avoid teeth and foreign blood not good, semi auto
.357
the gun it self has many different sizes as seen in older cop films its normally small
but the round it self can be used effectivly at mid range engagments
although not as effective as a .44 or .45 it still contains a slower speed for more damage to any spot on the intended target if you don't miss and when the round enters the target it begins to mushroom to affect more tissue and hence causes more damage, but its a six shooter folks

Most commonly known in usage because of the .45 Colt
a fantastic side arm, used in WWII and still used today is a true sign of its killing capacity, this semi automatic pistol was truly appreciated do to its high level of damage it can cause with just entering the target, the round mushrooms as soon as it enters, it still has it draws back, it shoots slower than the 9mm and .22 cal due to its larger size but the larger rounds contains more impact force
one thing you will realize is that handguns are a "catch 22"

Large rounds large wounds cavities, slow speed, six shooter, but if aimed even at the thickest part of the skull (forhead) it will punch straight through with ease and possibly if more targets are behing can enter several before the bullet loses momentum
