Think Smart Weapons

The truth is that ammo is not infinite like in video games,wish we could have some sort of cheat code that would grant us infinite ammo,eternal life and stamina. The thing is that since amo is limited,the best thing u can do is make every shot count.If you manage to get your hands on millitary grade weapons like M-4 or such keep them until you run out of ammo,then leave them behind. Keep for yourself only weapons of ammo that you are more likely to run into at stores,houses,malls and other places, Ex: .9mm and shotgun shells. Once an M-4 runs out of ammo is basically a melee weapon and not a very good one against zombies(machete or baseball bat would do better),so it would be unnecesary weight,Not to mention the fact that automatic and semi automatic weapons have a lot of tiny parts that if they go wrong the weapon is useless and can fail at any moment.
If you have to keep a firearm with yourself at all times, I suggest you go with any kind of revolver. Despite the disadvantage of slow reload time over the magazine of a hand gun like the Beretta.92 or the Colt 1911.45,the revolver has a very simple mechanical system that has a longer service time than that of any handgun like the 1911 model
