Use Fire as a Finisher

Fire may not be effective against zombies when they're still alivish but if you kill them first then set the body on fire, then it will stand a good chance with keeping them from getting back up if its even possible(but anything's possible, we don't know it hasnt happened yet.) *stay alert and survive.
