Zombies, Charity, and Cosplay...you know you want to read more.

It's time to spread the infection - and we need your help to do so.

In 2010, Big Damn Films (a non-profit 501 (c)(3) company) released their first film - Browncoats: Redemption. The entire film was created by crowdsourcing: the funding, the equipment, the actors/actresses, the crew, the marketing and the funding was put together via the use of social media outlets. Every penny raised from the project above minimal operating expenses was donated to charities - to the tune of over $117,000 and shipped globally without the help of any distribution or marketing companies. We're at it again - and our goals are set even higher.

Z*Con is about Matt Moore, and his friends, who are four teens with a video podcast that get trapped in a convention when the zombie apocalypse breaks out. They use social media to share what's going on inside with the outside world. Think Goonies meets Shaun of the Dead. We've already landed some seriously awesome people to help us with writing, directing, filming and making this entire film come to life. We need your help to promote it, though.

Our Kickstarter campaign has been unleashed on unsuspecting victims. All monies received via Kickstarter will go toward the cost of creating, producing and sending the film all over the world. Every other penny raised via independent sales and promotions/donations will be given 100% to three charities. Two of the three have already been selected: the Red Cross and the Kids Need to Read Foundation. The final organization is being left up to the fans and supporters. They are able to submit a charity for consideration and vote on their favorites. The qualifying charity with the most votes wins. It's that simple.
